Dear Time,
We are kind of hard on you aren’t we?
First we demand you slow down. This little newborn phase doesn’t last long ya know, why you rushing it?
Then we stomp our feet and rush you because you slowed down and this terrible two stage is just the worst. Would you just hurry up and get past this scene where something has taken over my toddler?
We call you a thief.
We call you a healer.
Some argue that we will never find you but that we have to make you.
Yet, we still find ways to waste you. Sorry about that.
In reality, you are one of the most consistent things in our lives. You keep moving at the same pace, the same speed no matter how you make us feel.
You have this incredible way of showing us what really matters in life.
SO instead of demanding things from you or bossing you around I just want to say thank you.
Thank you for being consistent and for allowing me all these crazy, wild, beautiful moments.
I’ll try to be patient when you’re slow, content when you’re fast and grateful when you are just moving along at a normal pace.
